Nearby St .Feliu is not a big resort and has a feeling of real Catalonia. The people are welcoming and genuinely friendly and all bars and restaurants are child friendly. The local cuisine is excellent and always fresh, and the wines are delightful, (be sure to try Bornos if you like your white wine). Don't expect English teas or fish and chips - those are for the more commercialised resorts. St. Feliu is traditionally Catalan and is geared towards people who like 'things Catalan'.
